“Can’t I just…”
…have my PCP order these through insurance?
Most of these labs aren’t considered screening tests by insurance. Even when some are covered, your share can still leave you with a $1,000+ bill, and many PCPs can’t order specialty panels like Dutch, KBMO, or MethylDetox at all.
…use the labs I just had, plus a few extras?
The Power Panel is priced as a bundle. Ordering pieces of it separately loses that discount and usually costs more. Your prior labs may also be missing the specific markers Dr. Lightning needs.
…skip the comprehensive panel and do the cheap one?
You can. But if you have symptoms beyond hormones (fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, gut issues), a limited panel won’t tell us why, and you’ll likely end up paying for more labs later.
